Find out how much money you can come up with and make a counter offer for that amount and go from there

I read your question… i was in the same position , i recieved big help from Matt at http://www.LEGALCPN.COM. They have a multitude of services they offer their clents. But at the very least you definitley need to order their credit bible book. It worked for me

Get the credit card company to agree on a monthly amount that you can afford, and arrange with the Air Force to have it taken straight from your pay and sent to them. If you could, it would be good to have it paid off in six months or less. Do without things for a short while, because the tremendous relief you will feel when it is off your back will be worth everything.

yes you can work a settlement with the card company — but you have to be ready to back any deal you come up with == you might have to just put the air force on hold until you can work this out!!!
